Cloudflare free tier gotchas

Request and CPU-time limits are hard stops

The free plans on Workers and Pages enforce daily request counts and per-invocation CPU time as hard caps rather than metered overage billing. Once you hit the limit, requests fail or throttle for the rest of the window instead of quietly billing you for the excess.

R2’s zero-egress claim is about egress specifically

R2’s headline feature is no egress fees for data leaving the bucket to the internet - but storage and Class A/B operations (writes, lists) are still metered and billed separately once you exceed the free allowance.

The zone plan is a different product from the dev platform
