Ably is a realtime messaging platform that provides pub/sub APIs, chat, AI transport, live objects, spaces, and live sync for applications that need low-latency updates and state synchronization. The platform exposes SDKs for JavaScript, React, Python, Java, .NET, Ruby, Flutter, Objective-C, Swift, PHP, Go, and C#.NET, plus protocol support for WebSockets, HTTP REST, MQTT, SSE, and HTTP streaming.
The free package includes 200 concurrent connections, 500 messages per second, 6 million messages per month, 200 concurrent channels, 200 presence members per channel, 64 KiB max message size, and 1 day of message storage. It is suitable for proof-of-concept work and includes community and email support on a best-effort basis.
