Firebase Authentication is a backend identity service for apps that need user sign-in across mobile, web, and other platforms. It provides SDKs and ready-made UI libraries for email and password accounts, phone authentication, and federated sign-in providers such as Google, Apple, X, Facebook, and GitHub.
The service includes FirebaseUI for drop-in authentication flows and supports account merging and other common identity workflows. Free Tier Value
The pricing page shows Firebase Authentication on the Spark plan as no-cost for other authentication services, with Identity Platform quotas of up to 50K monthly active users and 50 SAML/OIDC monthly active users; phone auth is excluded and billed per SMS on Blaze. Because the free tier is capped and the page does not provide enough pricing detail to conservatively convert the included MAU quotas into a monthly dollar value, the free_tier_value_usd_per_month is set to null.
