About
Nominatim is an open-source geocoding service that uses OpenStreetMap data to find locations by name and address, and to perform reverse geocoding from latitude and longitude to the nearest address or OSM object.
It can be used through the public API for occasional use, or installed and run on your own infrastructure for higher-volume or custom deployments. The project supports structured queries, minutely OpenStreetMap updates, and scalable installations from a city-sized index on a laptop to planet-scale deployments.
